Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 15, 2026
1. About this policy
Silver Brook Plumbing (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and retain personal information when you visit our website, contact us, request an estimate, receive plumbing services, or contact us about a warranty or other service concern. Our legal business name and privacy contact details appear in Section 13.
Our Terms of Service address service orders, payment, scheduling, warranties, and other service obligations. This Policy explains the related handling of personal information. Visiting our website or submitting a request does not, by itself, authorize work or constitute consent to marketing.
2. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with us and may include:
- Contact and request information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, service address, preferred appointment times, and details about your plumbing needs. We receive this information through forms, email, text messages, telephone conversations, and in-person communications.
- Service and property records, such as estimates, work authorizations, approvals, service history, relevant property conditions, equipment model and serial information, photographs, and warranty or claim records.
- Transaction information, such as invoices, amounts paid, payment status, transaction references, and refunds. Payment providers may collect information needed to process your chosen payment method under their own privacy notices.
- Website and device information, such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, pages visited, referring pages, approximate location, cookie or session identifiers, and interactions with website features. Some information is collected automatically by our website, hosting provider, and the services described in Section 6, including when you do not submit a form.
- Relevant information from others, such as a property owner or other person authorized to arrange services for you, providers assisting with a transaction or warranty claim, and publicly available reviews and associated profile information displayed through Google.
3. How we use information
We use personal information as reasonably needed to:
- Respond to inquiries, prepare estimates, schedule appointments, and provide plumbing services.
- Document existing conditions, approvals, completed work, and quality-control checks.
- Issue invoices, process payments and refunds, and maintain business and accounting records.
- Provide service updates, address warranty requests, investigate concerns, and handle insurance matters or disputes.
- Operate, protect, and improve our website and services, understand website use, and prevent fraud or misuse.
- Send promotional communications with your consent, comply with legal obligations, and establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.
4. Photographs and service documentation
We may photograph the work area, relevant existing conditions, equipment, model or serial information, and work in progress or completed work for estimating, service documentation, quality control, warranty, insurance, and resolving disputes. Documentation is limited to what is reasonably relevant to these purposes, avoiding people and unrelated personal information where practicable.
We may use photographs of completed work for our website portfolio, social media, Google Business Profile, and other promotional purposes when the images, captions, location tags, and associated metadata do not identify or reasonably enable others to identify you or your property and do not disclose your address or other personal or confidential information. We will obtain separate permission before using photographs or other service records for promotional purposes if they identify you or your property. Consent to receive promotional messages does not authorize promotional use of those images. This Policy does not provide consent for audio recording of calls or on-site conversations.
6. Website services and external content
Tally hosts our service request form. Information you submit through it is transmitted to and stored by Tally on our behalf. If the form offers file uploads and you use them, the uploaded files are also processed through the form service. Tally states that its form data is stored in Europe. See the Tally Privacy Notice (opens in a new tab) and Tally information about form data (opens in a new tab).
Google Analytics helps us understand website use and improve the site. It processes information about interactions with the site, devices and browsers, and identifiers associated with visits. We use this information to generate reports and statistics; collection is not limited to aggregate totals. Google also receives technical information, including IP addresses, in providing the service. See Google Analytics privacy information (opens in a new tab).
Google Maps and Google Places provide map features and Google review content. When your browser connects to Google to load or use these features, Google may receive technical information about that interaction, such as your IP address, browser information, and the page or feature requested. Reviews may display the reviewer’s public name, rating, review text, profile image, and source links, as supplied by Google. Google processes information associated with these features under its own Google Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab). Google’s privacy practices do not replace our responsibilities for personal information that we collect or disclose.
Mapbox provides certain map or location-related website features. When your browser connects to Mapbox services, Mapbox may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser or device information, session identifiers, and information about requests made to its services. Mapbox describes its processing in the Mapbox Product Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
Google Fonts supplies the typefaces used on our website. When fonts are loaded from Google’s servers, your browser sends the technical requests needed to retrieve them. Google receives technical information associated with those requests, such as your IP address and browser information. See the Google Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
For additional information about Google’s services, see How Google uses information from sites and apps (opens in a new tab). External sites and services that you visit directly have their own privacy notices. Their notices supplement the information here; they do not replace our responsibilities under this Policy.
8. Service communications and marketing
We may contact you about your inquiry, estimate, appointment, work, invoice, payment, warranty, or other service matter as permitted by law. Providing contact information for a service request is not a blanket agreement to receive automated marketing calls or texts.
We send promotional communications only with your consent. You may withdraw that consent or ask us to stop promotional messages by using the unsubscribe instructions in a message or contacting service@silverbrookplumbing.com. We will honor requests within the period required by applicable law. Opting out of marketing does not prevent necessary non-promotional communications about your services, transactions, or legal matters, subject to applicable communication preferences and law.
9. How long we keep information
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing services, keeping required records, handling warranties and claims, and complying with legal obligations.
Retention depends on the type of record, our relationship with you, applicable accounting or tax requirements, relevant claim periods, and whether a dispute, investigation, or other legal preservation obligation exists. Service records may therefore need to be retained beyond the workmanship warranty period. Unconverted inquiries and website analytics are retained according to their separate operational purposes and applicable retention settings.
When information is no longer reasonably needed and retention is not legally required, we delete it or de-identify it using appropriate methods. Information in backups may remain until the applicable backup cycle expires, subject to legal requirements and safeguards against unrelated use. We may keep limited records of marketing opt-outs to respect your choices.
10. Security and processing locations
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle to help protect it against unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, or loss. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. This statement does not limit our legal duties concerning data security or any required notice of a security incident.
We operate in North Carolina. Information may be processed or stored in the United States and in other countries where our providers operate, including Europe for Tally form data. Privacy laws may differ between countries. We comply with safeguards and transfer requirements that apply to our processing under applicable law.
11. Privacy requests and applicable rights
You may contact service@silverbrookplumbing.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. Depending on the laws that apply to you and our processing, you may have additional rights concerning your information, such as obtaining a copy, objecting to or restricting certain processing, or withdrawing consent.
We will assess requests under applicable law and respond within any legally required period. We may reasonably verify your identity or authority before disclosing or changing information. Verification will be proportionate to the request and the sensitivity of the information.
Deletion and other requests may be subject to lawful exceptions, including where information must be retained for required records, completing an authorized transaction, handling a warranty or legal claim, preventing fraud, or protecting another person’s rights. Any exception applies only to the extent permitted by law. If we cannot fulfill a request in full, we will explain the reason as required and provide information about any applicable review or appeal process. Nothing in this Policy limits a nonwaivable privacy right.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will post the revised version on this page and update the date above. For material changes, we will provide additional notice and obtain consent when required by applicable law. We will not apply changes to previously collected information in a way that unlawfully overrides the privacy commitments under which it was collected.
